THE ARCHBISHOP of the West Indies and Anglican Bishop of Barbados, Dr. John Holder, has criticised Anglicans who condemn members of the lesbian gay bisexual transgender (LGBT) community, describing the critics as “sad” Christians.

He told a news conference in Barbados that every human being should be treated as a child of God, irrespective of their sexual orientation.

His comments have been welcomed by local gay rights groups.
