Beyoncé gets first no.1 hit in 9 years

HEIGHTS: Beyoncé is celebrating her 28th Hot 100 entry - a combination of collaborations and solo hits.

POP STAR Beyoncé's 'Perfect' duet with Ed Sheeran has officially bagged the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard, the song received a boost from first week sales, spending a second week as the number one song on the Digital Song Sales chart. The duet version is actually a remix of the original track and accounted for 63% of the sales for both versions of the song. Beyoncé was just recently added to the charts as a co-lead artist.

The single is the fifth top 10 for Sheeran, and the American songstress' sixth as a solo artist - 'Crazy in Love', 'Baby Boy', 'Check on It', 'Irreplaceable' and 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)'. The latter anthem stormed the charts in 2008.
