‘Four years is not enough’

THE MOTHER of Michael Jackson has blasted the four-year sentence handed down to her son’s former doctor who was found guilty of the star’s death.

Katherine Jackson said that the maximum sentence given to Dr Conrad Murray at an LA court yesterday (Nov 29) was ‘not enough.’

Leaving the court after the six-week trial, she said: “Four years is not enough for someone's life. It won't bring him back but at least he got the maximum. I thought the judge was very, very fair and I thank him.”

She continued: “Four years won't bring my son back, but that's the law. So the judge gave him the maximum, so I thank the judge and I thank the prosecutors and I think everything went well.”

Dr Murray was found guilty of giving the Thriller singer a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol, leading to his death in June 2009.

The 58-year-old, who barely reacted when the judge read out his sentence, has also been ordered to pay an 'appropriate restitution' to the estate and to Jackson's three children Prince Michael, 14, Paris Katherine, 13 and Michael 'Blanket' Jackson, 9.
